The ½ inch PU regular is a sound probe combining two sensors: a traditional microphone and a microflown. Directly at one spot the sound pressure and acoustic particle velocity are measured.

Human ears only hear sound pressure, with Scan & Listen particle velocity is now also made audible! Human ears are like traditional microphones sensitive to scalar value / omni directional sound pressure.

Microflown offers a complete solution to measure your material properties with the In-situ absorption setup. With a small, hand held impedance gun the acoustic absorption, reflection or impedance can be measured in just a few minutes, broad banded, under normal and oblique angles.
